Our Clinical  Psychologists are registered with Medicare to provide psychological treatment under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. In order to ensure that your patients are able to claim a rebate please provide them with a referral addressed to Dr Tadros and a copy of their GP Mental Health Care Plan.

We will provide you with an outline of the assessment findings and treatment plan after the initial appointment with your patient. We will also provide you with a written update regarding your patient’s progress after the 6th and 10th sessions (depending on the duration of treatment). Naturally, if we have concerns about your patient’s progress or need to discuss their management we will phone you to discuss the treatment plan.

Our Clinical Psychologists have provided evidence-based psychological interventions in the Workers Compensation system for over 20 years. We provide psychological treatment for chronic pain (usually referred to as “pain management”), posttraumatic stress (including PTSD) and the range of psychological conditions typically associated with compensable psychological injuries (or “stress” claims). Over the years that we have provided services in this area we have developed a reputation for delivering individualised, effective and evidence-based psychological treatments. We are well-regarded for our commitment to collaborating with the doctor and other treatment providers to ensure the best treatment outcome.

Patients can be referred by their Nominated Treating Doctor or Nominated Treating Specialist. In most cases, psychological treatment can commence immediately without prior written approval from the insurer. After three to eight sessions (depending on how recently the injury occurred) a management plan outlining the goals of treatment and progress to date is provided to all treatment providers and to the insurer for approval if further sessions are required. In some cases, the insurer approves an initial assessment only and considers whether to approve treatment following provision of a detailed psychological assessment report. When this occurs as the treating doctor you will be provided with a copy of this report.
